Laser lens are fragile items . To prevent damage the laser diode 

1. Don't touch the area around the laser diode or the actuator;

2. Don't check the laser diode with a tester or other device ( the laser diode will be broken easily );

3. Short -circuit the laser pick-up .

* Don't forget to remove jumper (short circuit diode) after finishing repari , and leave that open .

*Recommedation tool: soldering iron .
